ROUTE SANI, WETLANDS OF NEA FOKEA-GERANI (roundtrip)
Beginning in the port area of Sani, this route passes through a green forest and an impressive wetland of the nature protection area (Natura 2000) of the region 'Nea Fokea'. This nature protection area contains beside a wide forest also several lakes and is home for over 50 percent of all native bird-species in Greece are indigenous. The tour continues to the archeological site of 'Gerani'. A impressive excavation of pre-hellenic ruins and tombs located directly on a beatiful beach area. and heads back to the point of departure.
