The Protestonaut-Project 2016/2017 is a documentation about the effect of the austerity in Greece

The Protestonaut Calendar 2017 released in 3rd edition. The makers of the extraordinary political art-calendar show the effects of the austerity in Greece as well as to clean up with the extenuation of the politically used term ‘economization’.

The release of the calendar comes with topic related interviews. The project is critical but definitely ‘Pro-Greece’. The calendars advertizes Greece as holiday destination in an uncommon artistic way. The content’s intention is to correct the common presentation of Greece in the German media. The Protestonaut-Project is supposed to make the people in Germany and Greece to think and reconsider.

It is also a Greek-German-Media-Project divided in:

- A journalistic report concerning the political & social situation in Greece.
We try to analyze the aspect profound, regarding the situation of the people of all social classes.
The report is Pro-Greece. It represent the individual organizations including their way to deal with it and how they try to make the best out of it. In preparation of this investigation we arranged many interview-appointments with politicians, doctors, representatives of relief organizations, workers, entrepreneurs, representatives of tourism and many more
This year’s topic ‘effects of the austerity’ has so much matter, that we decided to offer photos, texts, interviews, film-material and corresponding reports to the media.

- A political art-project: the ‘Protestonaut’-calendar.
In preparation of this investigation we arranged many interview-appointments with politicians, doctors, representatives of relief organizations, workers, entrepreneurs, representatives of tourism and many more

The calendar: in every picture an astronaut-figure is posed, called the ‘Protestonaut’ (lat. Protestari = testify in public & Greek: ναύτης). The idea behind: Out of space the astronaut has an extraordinary view over earth above all problems. Everyone could wear this suit to represent his own personal view: salesperson, banker, politician, student, manager, unemployed, professor or.. you

In the last 2 years the project-calendar caused a high event in German media and politics. This year’s topic ‘effects of the austerity’ has so much matter, that we decided to offer photos, texts, interviews, film-material and corresponding reports to the media.
